Seven NATO nations will team up to form a cyber-defense center in Estonia, the target of cyber attacks last year, reports BBC News.
Germany, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy and Spain will pay for and staff the center in the capital city, Tallinn. It’s expected to be fully operational in August. The United States initially will send an observer to the project, which will offer research, consultation and training in cyber defense to participating national governments.
Meanwhile, cyber security experts from more than 40 countries are expected to meet in Malaysia later this month for the first World Cyber Security Summit, which is being billed as the largest gathering of its type to date, reports The Register. http://www.itbusinessedge.com/blogs/hdw/?p=2210
