Korthauer wins Super Tour sprint; Teppan 19th in Cup

Alaska Nanooks skiers turned in outstanding performances on two different fronts Wednesday.

Senior Marius Korthauer of Germany won the U.S. Super Tour sprint race on Tuesday in Duluth, Minn., while teammate Vahur Teppan, a senior from Estonia, placed 19th overall in a World Cup sprint in Canmore, Alberta....

Meanwhile, Teppan was making his mark for Estonia in the World Cup sprint.

The senior sprint specialist barely made the top 30 to qualify for the quarterfinal heat races as he qualified in the 29th position.

However, he moved all the way up to 19th in the final standings, just missing the cut for the semifinals...
