Outgoing US ambassador awarded Estonian Police Service Badge

TALLINN, Dec 15, BNS - Estonian National Police Commissioner Raivo Aeg thanked the outgoing US Ambassador Aldona Wos for successful cooperation and conferred on her a Special Class Medal of the Police Service Badge.
Aeg said Wos had personally supported cooperation with the Estonian police and thanks to her initiative trust between the two countries' law and order structures had increased. "I expressed thanks to the US ambassador for strenghening contacts between the Estonian police and the respective US organizations," he said.
According to the Police Board the Estonian Police is constantly cooperating with US law and order structures in the framework of special operations. So this January after several months of surveillance the Central Criminal Police together with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation caught a person involved in extensive Internet fraud, and his accomplices.
Last the Estonian police cooperated with the United States embassy during the visit of US President George W. Bush.
