TALLINN, Jul 23, BNS - As of August 1, Hungary will represent Estonia in the issue of Schengen visas in India, the Foreign Ministry reported.
The two countries' foreign ministers, Urmas Paet and Kinga Goncz, exchanged the respective notes Tuesday in Brussels.
Since January 1 Hungary represents Estonia in Moldova and from June 1 in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Pakistan.
Estonia had signed representation agrements on the issue of Schengen visas with Latvia, Germany, Finland, Hungary and Spain.
Talks for the signing of representation agreementsx are underway with the Netherlands, France and Poland.
Applications for short-term, transit and airport transit visas can be handed in to the mission of a member country representing Estonia. For the issue of long-term visas and residence permits applicants still have to turn to Estonian missions abroad.
