Meeting of alliance of European news agencies to start in Estonian capital

TALLINN, Apr 15, BNS - The spring conference of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) is about to kick off in Tallinn on Wednesday.
Simultaneously Tallinn will pay host to an extraordinary general meeting of EANA.
The conference is set to focus on topics such as the business models of news agencies, media rights for sports events and the training of journalists. The event will last until Saturday.
The EANA spring conference was held in Athens last year and in Vienna in 2006.
Like many other international organizations, EANA is registered in Switzerland.
EANA brings together leading news agencies from more than 30 countries of Europe.
Its members include Baltic News Service (BNS), the largest news agency in the Baltic countries.
