12.04.2008
TALLINN, Apr 11, BNS - Estonia's Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will visit Brazil and Argentina next week.
During the visit beginning on Monday Paet will meet with Brazilian colleague Celso Amorini and vice-chairman of the Senate Committee on External Relations Eduardo Azeredo.
The minister will also attend the inauguration of an Estonian honorary consulate in Rio de Janeiro.
In Argentina Paet is to meet with Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana and representatives of the local Estonian community.
Estonia established diplomatic relations with Argentina in September 1991 and with Brazil in December of the same year.
Paet said in February in parliament that Estonia is both within the European Union and bilaterally working to achieve visa-free travel to Brazil whose citizens have the right to enter all EU countries including Estonia without a visa.
