Prince Harry pictured wearing Estonian troop emblem in Afghanistan

TALLINN, Mar 03, BNS - Photos published in the media of Prince Harry, third-in-line for succession to the British throne, show him wearing the emblem of the Estonian Guards Battalion on the front of his body armor while serving in Afghanistan.
Prince Harry received the emblem as a gift from Capt. Tanel Tarlap, liaison officer of ESTCOY-5, the Estonian infantry unit in Afghanistan, said Lt. Georgi Kokoshinski, the Estonian information officer serving in Afghanistan.
The emblem of the Guards Battalion depicts an eagle.
Tarlap, who served on the same venue with the prince for about a week in January, said Prince Harry acted like any other well-performing officer.
"He's a friendly, joyful and conscientious young person," Capt. Tarlap.
In his capacity as coordinator of air support, Prince Harry supported the operations of also ESTCOY-5 in the area of Now Zad in Helmand province of southern Afghanistan.
Lt. Kokoshinski added that exchange of emblems of units between troops of different nations was a long-time tradition of the military.
Prince Harry served in Afghanistan during two and a half months.
