TALLINN, Mar 01, BNS - Estonia and Kosovo are similar both by size and by their fate, and Estonians are welcome in Kosovo, the head of an Estonian parliamentary delegation visiting the newly-independent Balkan republic says.
The delegation comprising the chairman of the Estonian-Kosovan friendship group, Hannes Astok, his deputy Mart Nutt, Taavi Roivas, Jaanus Marrandi and Liia Hanni, a former member of parliament who in 2007 served as adviser to the Kosovan National Assembly, met today with the speaker of the National Assembly, Jakup Krasniqi, President Fatmir Sejdiu and other representatives of government.
Opportunities for cooperation were under discussion in the meeting with the president who showed a lively interest in Estonian e-governance developments. Rich in natural resources and young hands, Kosovo also is waiting for Estonian entrepreneurs.
Estonia is participating in Kosovan reconstruction in the framework of both European Union and NATO cooperation.
