US may drop visa requirements for citizens of Estonia

PRAGUE, Feb 06, BNS - The United States is likely to drop visa requirements for citizens of the Czech Republic, Estonia and Greece this year, the Associated Press reported a U.S. Homeland Security official as saying on Wednesday.
Richard C. Barth, assistant secretary of the U.S. Homeland Security Department, said after talks with Czech government ministers that they made "excellent progress today on negotiations that hopefully will lead this year, 2008, to the Czech people being able to travel to the U.S. without the visa."
He also said there was "high probability" Greece and Estonia, both European Union members Greece and Estonia would also join the U.S. visa waver program this year.
